Other Accomodation and Holiday Villages

Try other links on http://www.resort-guide.co.uk   Also try www.hayling.co.uk  -  Follow its Directory tab and then select Camping and Caravans. The caravan sites it lists are mostly sites that are for static-caravans but do not take tourers although it is not obvious from the website. There are three sites listed that rent static-caravans – worth giving them a try. Also look for self-catering chalets that appear under various headings.

Holiday Villages

There are 2 sites at the HISC end of Hayling Island - Lakeside and Mill Rythe. At the other end of the Island is Sinah Warren. Here, I only focus on Lakeside and Mill Rythe.

Both are in the business of complete holiday packages featuring many on-site facilities and entertainment. The deal in both cases is bed, breakfast and evening meal. Having said that, these villages are BIG - seriously big, popular, competitively priced and reasonably near to HISC. We would hope to run the camp-site mini-bus via these villages, but only if there are enough numbers - and that depends on you letting me know you would use a mini-bus. Accommodation at both is a mixture of Double rooms, Twin rooms and Single rooms.

Lakeside: This is part of the Warner's group. Adults only. The website is http://www.warnerbreaks.co.uk/default.asp . Pricing is a bit confusing until you chalet_3_200work out how it works. Their unit of pricing is the 'Break'. So if you want 2 weeks, you need to put together a mix of 'breaks' that add up to the number of days you want. They don't appear to do simple pricing by the night - it is just not the business they are in. Their business is very much all-inclusive with meals and entertainment. The best thing is to phone them up and talk to them.

Mill Rythe: Very much a family site. The website is http://www.hollybushhotels.co.uk/mill_rythe.htm  It is all inclusive of bed, breakfast and evening meal.  I found their pricing less than clear, but talking to them, it became clearer. Put simply: £319 GBP per person per 7-day week, but then there are special deals etc. Other pricing structures are chalet_2_200possible - talk to them. Mill Rythe were happy to discuss bulk-booking prices, but at the time of writing (20 Feb 06) there was little interest from you - the competitors. Also note that their website says 15% off the website price if booked by 1st March
